Kuwait Work Permit Fee Amended KD 150 for Each   Kuwait City, 21st April, 2024: Expat residency law amended to add work permit fee | Kuwait Work Permit Fee Amended KD 150 for Each .   A ministerial decision was issued to amend some provisions of Ministerial Resolution No. 957/2019 on the executive regulations of the Foreigners’ Residency Law and its amendments. The amendment is regarding the mechanism for granting work permits and the transfer of migrant workers recruited with work permits and the prescribed fees. Kuwait introduces fee for work permit change effective June 1 The decision stipulates the following: Article 1 : The employer must obtain work permits according to an estimate of need after obtaining the approval of the concerned department of PAM. However, the sources said only domestic workers are not permitted to remain outside Kuwait for more than six months unless their sponsor apply for an exception for them. Expats can travel without Civil IDs from Kuwait KUWAIT CITY, 7th June, 2020: Informed security sources revealed instructions were issued by the Ministry of Interior to allow expats who wish to leave the country to travel without using a civil ID, provided that their residency is valid, and that the Latin name in residence is matches to the name mentioned in their passport. The sources stated that the instructions comes within the framework to facilitate the expats who wish to travel and have valid residency and they followed the legal procedures in obtaining the civil card where they were not been able to obtain it due the closure of the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) due to ministerial decision in order to contain spread of coronavirus during the period. Now Private Companies Can Renew Expats Residence Online KUWAIT CITY, Feb, 10: The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Residence Affairs, Major General Talal Marafi, announced that residence renewal of Article 18 can be done online starting from next month (March 2020) reports Al Qabas. With newly automated system linked with companies and institutions allows to renew the residence of expatriates online without visiting any of the six governorates residence affairs department. He further stated that each company will have its own password to enter the system and follow the steps to renew the residence for expats without any complications or security breach from hackers.
