New fees for sick leaves and certificates from MoH, Kuwait, iiQ8News Tuesday, September 24, 2019 The health ministry has implemented a new fee scheme that includes a KD 2 fee for authentication of sick leaves issued by the private sector. The new fees are for services offered by the medical council to expats, including KD 20 for medical examination for those applying to work in the public and private sectors; KD 5 for medical examination for those seeking disability aid and age estimation; KD 10 for “medically unfit”, “to whom it may concern” and proportion of disability due to injury certificates; and KD 5 to approve sick leaves issued by non-government doctors inside or outside Kuwait. The health ministry also imposed fees for approving advertisements - KD 50 for three months for licensing ads for health-related products and KD 100 for licensing ads about companies or health facilities. Kuwait advised people to rely on official news; Avoid circulation of fake news The Kuwaiti government has advised citizens and residents to rely on the State official sources to get credible and accurate information, especially on the situation in the region. In a press statement on Wednesday, the Government Spokesman Tareq Al-Mezrem clarified that reliance on the official sources would help avoid circulation of rumors or fake news. In such situations, rumors and fake news were posted and circulated through social networking sites or other media tools, he cautioned. “So, the government urges everyone, without exceptions, to get the accurate information from the official sources, mainly the Kuwait News Agency and the official accounts of the State ministries on social networking sites,” he said. ISRO locates Chandrayaan-2 lander on Moon, but yet to make contact The Indian Space Research Organisation has managed to locate Vikram, the Chandrayaan-2 lander, on Moon's surface a day after losing contact with the craft. However, Isro is yet to establish contact with Vikram; the space agency lost communications with the lander minutes before it was to land on near the south pole of the Moon on Saturday. According to sources, communication with the lander has not yet been established. The lander was located with the help of the Chandrayaan-2 orbiter, which remains safe and is revolving around the Moon. The orbiter managed to shoot a thermal image of the Vikram lander.
